WERE ON A MISSION TO STRENGTHEN THE ATTENTION OF CHILDREN GLOBALLY!
ReadyAttentionGo is an innovative Austrailan medical device that is a digital therapeutic and cognitive training program specifically designed to improve attention skills in children aged 3-10 years. Developed as a series of digital games, the algorithm has been scientifically validated to improve attention skills of young children.
TALi programs have been shown to:
- Improve attention and numeracy
- Significantly improve hyperactive behaviours
- Significantly improve attention behaviours
- Reduce impulsive behaviour
95% of children who used the TALi program were able to maintain or improve their attention skills as reported by their parents using a clinically validated questionnaire.
7 out of 10 children that have used TALi programs showed an improvement in their attention scores and behavioural assessment ratings.
7 out of 10 children with a reported ADHD diagnosis showed an improvement in their inattentive and hyperactive behaviour.
About 80% of four and five year old children who use the TALi program reported improvements in their ability to stay seated during an activity.
In Australia, TALi is a registered NDIS provider and TALi can be included in a participants NDIS plan.
FUN, ENGAGING GAME-BASED THERAPY!
ReadyAttentionGo is a digital therapeutic that allows you to track improvements in a childs attention. It consists of 25 sessions conducted over a recommended 5-week period. Sessions take approximately 20 minutes and are made up of 4 x 4-minute game-based exercises.
During each 20-minute session, children will work through 4 fun and engaging game-based tasks. These tasks adapt to become more difficult as children progress. Each task uses a combination of targets and distractors to build core attention skills.
ReadyAttentionGo focuses on 3 main types of attention:
1. Selective Attention - The ability to filter out distractions and select specific information from multiple sensory inputs.
2. Sustained Attention - The ability to increase and maintain focus on relevant tasks for a long period of time.
3. Executive Attention - The ability to monitor and shift attention while preventing impulsive responses to stimuli.
Of the 120,000 children seeing an occupational therapist in Australia, at least 60-90% are likely to have attention related concerns.
Why is attention important?
- Attention skills are a part of fundamental cognitive development in early childhood.
- Good attention is a predictor of higher education outcomes, positive mental health, appropriate social skills, high employment opportunities and quality relationships. It is fundamental for learning.
ReadyAttentionGo uses scientifically established gamified and digitised cognitive tasks to strengthen neural pathways responsible for selective, sustained, and executive attention skills. Research has shown that this type of cognitive training is most effective when introduced during early childhood development, when brain neuroplasticity is at its peak. Cognitive training can strengthen underlying neural circuits, which can translate into gains in cognitive and behavioural processes.
